DEPICCOLO SIGNS WITH MONTREAL
BRIAN SCIARETTA - Monday, July 8, 2013
Eastern Conference leaders Montreal Impact have signed 2013 draft pick Paolo DelPiccolo to bolster its midfield.

DelPiccolo's agent Ted Philipakos confirmed the deal to Full Volley on Friday.

Del Piccolo was drafted in the second round by Montreal but elected to sign a six month contract with Eintracht Frankfurt instead. The Colorado native played with the German club's U-23 team but wanted to return to MLS after his contract was over.

Del Piccolo was a four year standout with the University of Louisville where he played alongside MLS stalwards Austin Berry, Andrew Farrell and Nick DeLeon. As a box-to-box midfielder, Del Piccolo is known for both his offensive and defensive skills.
