The Portland Timbers completed a trade with Toronto FC that saw Bright Dike head to the Canadian club in exchange for Argentine forward Maximiliano Urruti, a spokesperson told FV Monday.
"Maximiliano is a player we know well, one we feel will be a great fit in our system and scouted extensively prior to him signing with Toronto," said coach Caleb Porter.
Urruti, just 22 years old, played in 28 matches for Newell's Old Boys in Argentina's Primera División, scoring five goals, including victories over Boca Juniors, Unión, and Atlético Rafaela.
Bright Dike begins his Toronto FC at 26 years of age, with nine starts over three MLS seasons with the Timbers.
